NICHOLAS S. DORF 

Nicholas Dorf is Counsel in Dain Torpy’s transactional group. Nicholas’ practice focuses on assisting developers, owners, and operators of commercial real estate in all major sectors, including office, multifamily, retail, and industrial, achieve their business goals with practical solutions. With a breadth of experience across the fields of commercial leasing, construction, acquisitions, dispositions, permitting, and finance, Nicholas provides his clients with pragmatic advice throughout the life cycle of a deal, from inception through closing. 

Nicholas has previously worked in private practice at Seyfarth Shaw LLP and Kaplan Law LLC representing both national and regional clients. In the public sector, he worked as the Research Attorney to the Justices of the Massachusetts Land Court and as a Judicial Law Clerk in the Vermont Superior Court. Having spent years providing in-depth guidance on a broad spectrum of real estate and land use issues to judges and private clients alike, Nicholas has particular expertise in helping clients navigate complex legal puzzles with efficiency and clarity. 

During law school, Nicholas interned at the City of Newton Law Department, the Land Court, and the Massachusetts Commission Against Discrimination. He was an Articles Editor of the Boston College International and Comparative Law Review, and graduated with a Certificate in Land Use and Environmental Law.
