Daniel C. Healy
Dan Healy’s practice focuses on the acquisition, disposition, financing, and leasing of commercial real property. Dan has represented purchasers, sellers, landlords, and tenants in real estate transactions across the country. Dan is an associate at Dain Torpy.
Prior to joining Dain Torpy, Dan was a real estate associate at Goodwin Procter LLP in Boston. Before Goodwin, Dan served as Associate Legal Counsel at The Kraft Group in Foxborough, Massachusetts. During his time at Boston College Law School, Dan competed on Boston College Law School’s National Immigration Law Moot Court Team.
Recent Representative Transactions
- Represent purchaser in connection with $18 million industrial real estate acquisition in southeastern Massachusetts.
- Provide real estate counsel in connection with private equity transaction including acquisition of industrial facility in Memphis, Tennessee.
- Provide real estate counsel in connection with financing and subsequent refinancing of health care facility portfolio covering locations throughout the United States.
- Represent real estate fund borrower in connection with $100 million subscription secured credit facility.
- Represented tenant in lease of 19,000 square feet of laboratory and office space in Cambridge, Massachusetts and related lease of 5,300 square feet of temporary laboratory and office space in Woburn, Massachusetts.

- Dan was recognized in Boston Magazine’s inaugural list of Top Lawyers in 2021.
- In 2017, 2018, 2019, 2020, and 2021, Mr. Healy has served as a panelist on the Massachusetts Continuing Legal Education Commercial Real Estate Basics Plus Program.
- Mr. Healy is a member of the Boston Bar Association.
- Co-Chair of the Leasing Subcommittee of the Boston Bar Association’s Real Estate Steering Committee.
Pro Bono Activities
Dan was recognized as a “Pro Bono Star” at his previous firm in 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018, and 2019. Dan has performed pro bono work on behalf of urban gardening initiatives, life science incubators, and performing arts organizations.
